Cancellation policy

Sometimes something comes up – our cancellation policy at the Kölblwirt Inn in Johnsbach

In accordance with the cancellation policy of the Austrian hotel regulations – Rescission from the Accommodation Agreement

  • The accommodation agreement may be cancelled free of charge up until three months before the agreed date of arrival of the guest upon WRITTEN notice by either of the contracting parties. The cancellation notice shall be in the hands of the contracting party no later than three months before the agreed date of arrival of the guest.
  • The accommodation agreement may be cancelled up until one month before the agreed date of arrival of the guest by either of the contracting parties. In such case, the guest will be charged a cancellation fee amounting to 40% of the room rate. The cancellation notice shall be in the hands of the contracting party IN WRITING no later than one month before the agreed date of arrival of the guest.
  • If the guest fails to arrive by 6.00 p.m. on the agreed date of arrival, the proprietor shall not be obliged to accommodate him unless a later time of arrival has been agreed upon.
  • If the guest has made a down payment, the room(s) shall be deemed reserved until 12.00 p.m. on the day following the date of arrival at the latest.
  • Even if the guest does not make use of the reserved rooms or board, he shall still pay the agreed amount to the proprietor. The proprietor, in turn, shall deduct any costs he may have saved as a consequence of the waivered services or any payments he may have received by renting the unused rooms to another party.
  • No cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations up to 3 months before the date of arrival, a 40% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations up to 1 month before the date of arrival, a 70% cancellation fee for cancellations up to 1 week before the date of arrival and 90% in the last week before the date of arrival, based on the total agreed price.
  • The proprietor may endeavour to rent the unused rooms to another party, in accordance with the circumstances (§ 1107 ABGB, Austrian General Civil Code).
  • If the guest FAILS TO GIVE NOTICE to the proprietor that he will arrive with a dog, he may be denied accommodation.
