What you need for your ski tour:

Avalanche report
  • Warm clothes to change into
  • Weather protection clothing
  • Beanie, gloves, ski helmet
  • Sun glasses and ski goggles
  • Sun screen for your skin
  • In spring: crampons (the paths may be frozen)
  • Safety equipment including avalanche transceiver, shovel and avalanche probe
  • Sufficient food and liquids
  • Information on weather conditions and avalanche warnings
  • Maps and information on the tour
  • Mobile phone, camera, perhaps binoculars

The tour to the Festkogel Mountain is ideal for ski touring gourmets. In spring, this Alpine ascent is a real treat. You should start early, because when the conditions are good this tour is popular and there is not a lot of room on the summit. Make time your advantage and spend the night before at the Kölblwirt. This will save you travel time and you will be more relaxed when you start the tour. Just park your car at our inn: The tour starts directly from our back door.
