The Kölblwirt is the ideal point of departure for mountain tours and other adventures in the Gesäuse. Right from the Kölblwirt, you can ascend to the Hesshütte hut and climb various summits around the Hochtor Mountain, or you could hike to the Mödlingerhütte hut via the Johnsbacher Höhenweg trail or the Johnsbacher Almenrunde loop trail with its numerous traditional and rustic huts along the way. Commence your adventures at the Kölblwirt, and be right in the middle of them, right from the start!
