Right from the Kölblwirt, you can ascend to the Hesshütte hut and climb various summits around the Hochtor Mountain, or you could hike to the Mödlingerhütte hut via the Johnsbacher Höhenweg trail or the Johnsbacher Almenrunde loop trail with its numerous traditional and rustic huts along the way.
